We create awareness about the use of mushrooms for medicinal purposes, both physical and spiritual.

First time

It is not advisable to exceed the medium dose.

Heroic dose

The company of a guide or sitter is always recommended.

Before the journey

Set your intention

It's common to set an intention for the process you're about to live with the mushrooms, in order to work on the inner healing of certain aspects. With the respect they deserve, you can ask for their permission through a meditation, allow your body to receive the medicine and focus on the aspects you want to work on.

It's recommended to have these experiences with people you trust: that makes it easier to surrender and enjoy the mushrooms' effect.

Preparing your body

It's advisable to take the mushrooms on an empty stomach so digestion isn't heavy; if you're not fasting, at least try to have an empty stomach.

Duration of the effect

Although your perception of time may be altered, the effect lasts between 4 and 6 hours; after that, everything returns to normal.

Contraindications

Before a macrodose it's essential to review these conditions. If any of them applies to you, do not consume without a prior evaluation by a health professional.

Heart conditions

Macrodosing is not recommended for people with heart disease or uncontrolled high blood pressure: during the experience, heart rate and blood pressure can rise temporarily, and the emotional intensity of the journey can place additional strain on the heart.

Schizophrenia and psychotic disorders

People with schizophrenia, other psychotic disorders, or a family history of schizophrenia must not take macrodoses: the psychedelic experience can trigger or worsen these conditions in predisposed people, even if they have never shown symptoms.

Also — the same contraindications from the microdosing manual apply (antidepressants and serotonergic drugs, among others). Check them here.

Ways to take them

The simplest way is to chew them one by one —including the stem, which also contains psilocybin—, chewing thoroughly to squeeze out all the juice. Since the taste can be strong, these are the most common ways to take them:

  • Lemon Tek

    Recommended

It's the way we recommend most: it slightly intensifies the effect and the body processes psilocybin faster. Grind the mushrooms as finely as possible, mix them with half a glass of lemon juice and let them sit for a maximum of 20 minutes, stirring every 5. Then drink the entire content of the glass.

  • Chewed

Chew the mushrooms one by one, including the stem. Do it thoroughly to squeeze out all their juice before swallowing.

  • Honey

Coat the whole mushrooms in honey and eat them, or grind them as finely as possible and let them sit in honey for 15 minutes before eating.

  • Capsules

If you don't want to take them in any of the ways above, the easiest is capsules, keeping in mind you'll need several depending on your chosen dose: low, medium or high.

Don't boil them

We don't recommend boiling the mushrooms in drinks or heating them directly: high temperatures degrade psilocybin and they may well not produce the expected effect.

Don't drive

It's important not to drive under the mushrooms' effects: they can alter your perception of space.

What to do in case of a bad trip?

The term "bad trip" is often misused: in most cases, the person is resisting the mushrooms' effects or a life situation that is being revealed. Instead of resisting, allow the effects to unfold and observe them without judgment: that way the experience can be more positive and transformative.

Focusing only on the thoughts that come to you during the journey can bring on a bad moment. Don't dwell on them: let them come and go, and focus on enjoying the experience.

  • 4-7-8 breathing — inhale through your nose for 4 seconds, hold for 7 and exhale through your mouth for 8. Repeat until you feel more relaxed.

  • Anchor object — holding on to a small object, like a rock or a crystal, can give you a visual and tactile anchor to stay calm while you breathe.

  • Change your surroundings — if you feel overwhelmed, go for a walk, change rooms or go somewhere different. A change of scenery helps.

  • Seek the light — if you're somewhere dark or uncomfortable, turn on lights or open the windows: natural light can help you feel better.

  • Music and pets — listen to relaxing or meditative music, and if you have access to a pet, hug or pet it: animals can be very comforting.

  • Lean on your guide — whether you're an experienced psychonaut or not, having a guide or sitter is always recommended. If you feel bad, tell them what you're feeling: they can help you out of that loop.

Remember — no one has ever stayed stuck in a mushroom journey: you always return to a normal state of consciousness. When the psilocybin wears off, everything goes back to normal.
